Walls Conference 2006

Welcome to "Life in the Shadow of a Wall."

Join me as I talk with church and civic leaders from the United States, Mexico, Palestine and Germany about ways to peacefully overcome the walls that divide us.

Sign up to receive updates in your e-mail inbox.

We'll look at the walls in Israel/Palestine, the United States/Mexico, and the former East and West Germany as the contexts for these reflections and discussions.

The conference starts in Berlin on Nov. 8, the day before the 18th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. What better time and place to examine the impact of walls on people, society and faith!

From Nov. 9-13, the conversation will move to Wittenberg, home to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Wittenberg Center and many Martin Luther historical sites.

The conference is sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Network of International Learning Centers and the Evangelical Academy of Sachsen-Anhalt.

I'm very excited to hear more about this conference as it begins. Jessica Nipp, now working in our LSTC Advancement team, was previously at the Wittenburg Center and sends greetings!
